Is there a Reviewal app to download?

There is nothing to download from an app store — Reviewal runs in your browser on any device. When your browser offers Install, that saves Reviewal to your home screen, taskbar, or Dock so it opens in its own window, like an app. Your timeline stays in your account either way.

A passkey signs you in with your fingerprint, face, or PIN instead of an emailed link. You add one from inside Reviewal (Preferences, then Security), and it works alongside email sign-in — the email link always remains available.

What happens if I lose the device that has my passkey?

Nothing is locked out. Sign in with your email link from any device, then remove the old passkey under Preferences, then Security.

Set up Reviewal on your devices

Reviewal is the same timeline everywhere — nothing to install, no accounts to link. It runs in your browser, so setup is two small comforts: an icon that opens your timeline in one tap, and a passkey so your fingerprint, face, or PIN signs you in.

Before you start: open reviewal.net/app in your browser and sign in. Create the shortcut from that page, so it opens straight to your timeline.

Put Reviewal one tap away

Each of these puts a Reviewal icon next to your other apps, opening your timeline in its own window. Your timeline stays in your account — not on the device — so the same thing appears on every device you set up.

iPhone & iPad

Safari

Open reviewal.net/app in Safari and sign in.
Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow pointing up.
Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
Tap Add. The Reviewal icon appears on your Home Screen like any app; tap it to open your timeline.

Using Chrome on iPhone? The same Add to Home Screen option is in Chrome's Share menu.

Android phones & tablets

Chrome

Open reviewal.net/app in Chrome and sign in.
Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top right.
Tap Add to Home screen, then choose Install. On some phones the menu item says Install app directly.
Confirm. The Reviewal icon appears on your home screen and opens in its own window, like any app.

If your browser only offers Create shortcut, that works too — the icon opens the same timeline in a browser tab. Samsung Internet: menu → Add page to → Home screen.

Windows PC

Chrome

Open reviewal.net/app in Chrome and sign in.
Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar — a small screen with a down arrow — and click Install.
No icon? Click the three-dot menu (⋮) → Cast, save, and share → Install page as app… and confirm. (On older Chrome the option is Create shortcut… — tick "Open as window.")
Reviewal now opens in its own window. Right-click its taskbar icon and choose Pin to taskbar to keep it there.

Edge

Open reviewal.net/app in Edge and sign in.
Click the install icon in the address bar, or the three-dot menu (…) in the top right → Apps → Install this site as an app.
Name it Reviewal and click Install. Edge offers to pin it to your taskbar and Start menu.

Mac

Safari (macOS Sonoma or later)

Open reviewal.net/app in Safari and sign in.
From the menu bar, choose File → Add to Dock.
Click Add. Reviewal appears in your Dock and opens in its own window.

Chrome

Open reviewal.net/app in Chrome and sign in.
Click the install icon in the address bar — or the three-dot menu (⋮) → Cast, save, and share → Install page as app… — and confirm.
Reviewal opens in its own window and appears with your applications; keep it in the Dock by right-clicking its icon → Options → Keep in Dock.

On macOS versions before Sonoma, Safari doesn't offer Add to Dock — use the Chrome steps instead.

Sign in with a touch — passkeys

A passkey signs you in with your fingerprint, face, or PIN instead of an emailed link. It lives on your device — Reviewal only stores the public half, which can't be used to impersonate you anywhere else.

Add a passkey

Sign in to Reviewal with your email link as usual.
Open Preferences, then find Security.
Click + Add a passkey.
Your device asks you to confirm — with Windows Hello (fingerprint, face, or PIN) on a PC, Touch ID on a Mac, Face ID or Touch ID on iPhone and iPad, or your fingerprint or screen lock on Android.
Done. Next time, choose Sign in with passkey on the sign-in screen — no email needed.

If your browser offers to save the passkey to iCloud Keychain, Google Password Manager, or a password manager like 1Password, one passkey can follow you across your devices. Otherwise, add one passkey per device — each takes a few seconds.

Passkeys are an extra door, not a lock change. Email sign-in always keeps working. If you lose a device, sign in with your email link and remove that device's passkey under Preferences → Security.
